Desde mediados del 2001, a\u00f1o en que surgieron los primeros sitios que fomentan las redes colaborativas, los sistemas de social media como Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Myspace y Linkedin han producido un cambio dr\u00e1stico en la forma de comunicarse de las personas. Y no es extra\u00f1o que la Web 2.0, como se la denomina actualmente, haya tra\u00eddo aparejada una avalancha de nuevos conceptos y metodolog\u00edas de uso por parte de aficionados que logran visualizar ventajas potenciales a nivel global.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Las redes sociales han modificado nuestro h\u00e1bito de vida, y son cada vez m\u00e1s las personas que comprenden la necesidad de estar presentes en ellas. En datos estad\u00edsticos, YouTube cuenta con un tr\u00e1fico de subida de 20 horas de video por minuto, Facebook posee m\u00e1s de 250 millones de usuarios en todo el mundo, y Wikipedia contiene m\u00e1s de 13 millones de art\u00edculos traducidos a 260 lenguas diferentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Sin embargo, la magnitud de la popularidad de este fen\u00f3meno ya super\u00f3 los niveles del simple relacionamiento social; el uso que, en principio, se le dio a estas herramientas, ha dado un giro de 360\u00b0 en poco tiempo: las plataformas que antes se utilizaban para conocer gente, participar de actividades que se publican en Internet o intercambiar contenido son ahora herramientas poderosas de alto alcance masivo cuyo uso se orienta a la divulgaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n, generaci\u00f3n de estrategias de Marketing y campa\u00f1as publicitarias, y al incremento de las ventas de todo tipo de empresas. Si bien no todos conf\u00edan aun en esta herramienta como parte de su proceso de desarrollo comercial o como inversi\u00f3n a largo plazo, son cada vez m\u00e1s las empresas que comprenden la importancia del uso de las redes sociales y el impacto que tienen en sus cifras. Y es que hay algo de verdad detr\u00e1s del nuevo enfoque de las redes sociales, ya que han revolucionado de forma abrupta el concepto del marketing y las estrategias comerciales. Tomemos, por ejemplo, la siguiente f\u00f3rmula: el uso de palabras claves en las b\u00fasquedas de Internet, el filtro de los motores de b\u00fasqueda -especialmente Google- hacia determinados enlaces y el posicionamiento de un determinado sitio en la b\u00fasqueda. El mejor resultado, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, habr\u00e1 supuesto de una campa\u00f1a de divulgaci\u00f3n da trav\u00e9s de redes sociales: cantidad de fans en p\u00e1ginas de facebook, mentions logradas en Twitter, n\u00famero de suscripciones alcanzadas en feeds RSS o podcasts, o hasta la cantidad de clics logrados o el uso de Google AdWords como m\u00e9todo de publicidad online.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Un caso espec\u00edfico es el de compa\u00f1\u00edas como Pepsi, que destin\u00f3 U$S 20 millones a una campa\u00f1a de social media, o la multinacional Dell, que ya est\u00e1 facturando U$S 6,5 millones en ventas a trav\u00e9s de Twitter. Otro ejemplo concreto fue el lanzamiento de la red social Nike+, que supuso un beneficio de 56 millones de d\u00f3lares y gener\u00f3 una comunidad de corredores en torno a la red. Incluso Starbucks Argentina no quiso quedarse atr\u00e1s: adem\u00e1s de la divulgaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 generando su p\u00e1gina de Facebook, se incluy\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n de \u00abMy Starbucks Idea\u00bb, red social en la que los propios usuarios los que plantean ideas de mejora para el negocio y los que votan y comentan para decidir las que definitivamente se llevar\u00e1n o no a cabo en el blog propio del proyecto. Todos ejemplos claros que realzan la teor\u00eda -ya hecha realidad- de las enormes e infinitas posibilidades que ofrecen los medios sociales para objetivos publicitarios y comerciales de las empresas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Ya no se trata de querer o no formar parte de la Web 2.0: ahora la pregunta es \u00bftenemos las habilidades necesarias para sacar la mayor ventaja de estas herramientas virtuales? El desaf\u00edo consiste en desarrollar la capacidad de visualizar hacia d\u00f3nde apunta el mercado de las redes sociales \u2013y llegar primeros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">(El mito) es una realidad: la era del Social Media lleg\u00f3 para quedarse. Y los que primero entiendan la potencialidad de la generaci\u00f3n 2.0, los que aprendan a convivir -y sacar provecho- de estas herramientas de alcance masivo, ser\u00e1n los que se queden con la tajada m\u00e1s grande de la torta virtual.<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ya hace tiempo que o\u00edmos hablar de la \u201cRevoluci\u00f3n de las redes sociales\u201d.
