Translation Buyer Consideration

Some translation agencies try to find sly methods for making their customers pay more for the services being offered.  The ploys can be incredibly simple, or sometimes they can be sublimely complicated.

One thing which translation buyers should keep an eye out for when choosing which provider to go with is how the price tally is calculated.  Some providers, in a bid to buy time and charge their clients more money, base their quotes on the target text word count.  This is usually to their benefit, as during the translation process it is typical for sentences to grow more lengthy as contextualization and explanations are given.

Hence, buyers should be sure that the provider they end up choosing offers quotes based on the source text word count.  Work will proceed smoother, more quickly, and it is virtually guaranteed that the price will be more favorable to the client.  Something to be kept in mind…
